Choosing the Right Evaporator for the Dryer

Square, round, finned, unfinished, they give you a variety of evaporators to choose from, is it really suitable for you?

What I want to say is that shell and tube evaporators are only divided into two categories: dry evaporators and flooded evaporators.

Although the refrigerated dryer is more of a dry evaporator, I still want to introduce the flooded type.

Most of the flooded liquid type will be used for ammonia refrigeration, and there are also flooded liquid evaporators for Freon, but because its heat exchange tube is outside the refrigerant, and it needs to be filled with about 80% of the refrigerant!

Not only will it cause waste of cooling capacity, but also due to structural reasons, the oil return of the flooded evaporator also needs to take certain measures.

However, the dry evaporator is different. Although it is easy to cause leakage of the air source, its advantages cannot be ignored.

In addition, the dry evaporator also has the advantages of less cooling loss and the heat exchange tube is not easy to freeze and crack, which cannot be provided by the flooded type.

You must be asking: what exactly is a square, round, finned or unfinned evaporator?

They are all dry evaporators!
