Introduction and selection of dryer

There are two commonly used compressed air dryers: refrigerated compressed air dryers and adsorption dryers. Among them, the refrigerated dryer has the advantages of no air loss and low energy consumption, but there is a limitation on the dew point temperature. Although this generator has the advantage of low dew point, it also has the disadvantages of large regeneration gas loss and high energy consumption.

01 Applicability

First meet some basic requirements of drying, to achieve drying effect, product quality, drying speed and so on.

02 How to operate

The operation is simple and easy to learn, saving labor time and cost.

03 Simple structure

The structure of the dryer should be simple, and the accessories should be easy to replace and purchase.

04 Drying temperature

Drying temperature refers to the temperature of the air entering the drying barrel. For example, molecular structure, specific gravity, specific heat, moisture content and other factors, the drying temperature has certain limitations. If the temperature is too high, some additives in the raw materials will volatilize and deteriorate or agglomerate. If the temperature is too low, the raw materials with partial crystallinity will not meet the required drying conditions.

05 Drying time

Drying time refers to the pre-drying time of the raw material before molding. If the drying time is too long, the raw material will deteriorate or clump or waste energy. If the drying time is too short, the moisture content will be too high.

06 Air volume

Air volume represents the dehumidification capacity of the dryer. The air volume is the only medium that takes away the moisture in the raw materials, and the size of the air volume will directly affect the dehumidification effect. If the air volume is too large, the return air temperature will be too high, which will lead to overheating and affect the stability of the dew point; if the air volume is too small, the moisture in the raw materials cannot be completely taken away.

07 Dew point temperature

Dew point temperature is a measure of how dry (wet) a gas is. The less moisture in the gas, the lower the dew point temperature. A good dryer dew point should be able to reach a dew point temperature of -40°C.
